Belgravia Leisure - York Recreation & Convention Centre

At the Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday 27 April, Council resolved to enter into negotiations with Belgravia Leisure to progress towards an agreement regarding management of the York Recreation & Convention Centre.

Belgravia Leisure has been selected as the preferred provider because they are able to bring to York and our community, the benefit of their broad skills and experience in the sporting and leisure field. Belgravia has committed to working closely with the community to develop a suite of programs and offerings specifically tailored to the needs of the York residents. We look forward to hosting a community forum soon where you will get to meet Belgravia and discuss with them their plans for the Centre.

Over the next few months Staff will work closely with the Belgravia Management team to agree a service agreement, facility lease and a transition plan as well as start ongoing community engagement.
