It is with regret that we announce that Cr Stephen Muhleisen tendered his resignation today and will be stepping down as a Councillor as of 12 February 2023.
Cr Muhleisen was voted into Council in October 2019. During his time on Council, he was an active community member, working behind the scenes to support a number of causes and community projects. He supported the CEO and fellow Councilors during the unprecedented times of the Covid Pandemic and he has also been part of the team advancing the use of technology in Council Chambers.
The Shire would like to take this opportunity to thank Cr Muhleisen for his years of service to the community of York and wish him all the very best for the future.
Permission has been sought from the Minister to carry this vacancy until the ordinary elections in October 2023.
