You are invited to a Community Presentation by Belgravia Leisure on Wednesday 9 June at 6pm at York Recreation & Convention Centre. Belgravia will share their philosophy and ideas to activate the facility to increase the usage and range of activities available.
All are welcome. Drinks & nibbles will be provided, and an exciting door prize is on offer!
At the April Ordinary Council Meeting, Council agreed to enter into negotiations with Belgravia Leisure to progress towards a management agreement for the York Recreation & Convention Centre.
Belgravia Leisure has been selected to manage the York Recreation & Convention Centre because the company is able to bring benefits to York and the community with a broad variety of skills and experience in sporting and leisure aspects of community life. They are committed to providing high quality community programs and working collaboratively with all stakeholders, introducing high quality and innovative recreational programs suited to the needs of every member of the community.
Officers and Belgravia staff are working together on the Service Level Agreement, including defined KPIs and reporting requirements and on the Lease document that will define facility requirements and responsibilities.
The community presentation is an opportunity for you to hear first hand from Belgravia Leisure their working methodologies and their plans for the facility.
