NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

The Shire of York’s Bushfire Risk Management Team, in conjunction with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and contractors, Fire Mitigation Services will be conducting bushfire mitigation works in this area starting Wednesday 13th February 2019 and continuing for 4 to 6 weeks. The aim of these works is to reduce the fuel load in the river reserve and assist in the removal of invasive grasses and weeds along with the improvement and construction of Fire Access Tracks. We will do everything within our power to avoid creating any disturbance to you and are confident the end result will not only make living here safer but it will provide you with enhanced access to enjoy the river and its surrounds. Please abide by any closure notices along the walk track and maintain a safe distance from the workers.
