Public voting opens today for the 2023 7NEWS Top Tourism Town Awards and York has been named a finalist, up against Exmouth, Leonora and Tom Price.
Thirteen towns are finalists across three categories: WA’s Top, Small and Tiny Tourism Town, in the highly coveted Awards program. The public can vote online for their favourite town or city and go into the draw to win a $5,000 holiday in WA or a $500 voucher to spend at any RAC Park or Resort.
The public vote is combined with votes from an industry panel of judges to determine which destinations will earn the title of WA’s 2023 Top Tourism, Small Tourism or Tiny Tourism Town. Award winners are announced at the Regional Tourism Conference in May. If York is named the winner of the 7NEWS Small Tourism Town Award the prize is a $10,000 airtime package to add to our promotion of York.
The winning destinations go on to compete in the National competition against winners from other States for the chance to be crowned Australia’s Top Tourism, Small Tourism or Tiny Tourism Town.
