As part of our ongoing remembrance efforts, the 44th Australian Infantry Battalion Memorial is conducting a series of ceremonies across the Wheatbelt region. We are honoured to include York in our journey and would greatly appreciate the presence of your local officials at our event.
About the 44th Battalion Memorial: Founded by Luca Muir Anderson, a Army Reservist, the 44th Battalion Memorial aims to honour the 2,101 soldiers who served in the local WA battalion. One of our initiatives includes a 2,101KM run spanning every LGA across WA, symbolizing the vast origins of these brave soldiers across the state.

- Run Start: 1PM
- Memorial Service: 1:30PM
Fundraising Initiative: We invite members of York to support our memorial through donations. The town in Western Australia that contributes the most donations per capita will be honoured with a Trench Art Trophy from World War Two.
