Town Greening Program

The Shire of York was pleased to deliver a Street Greening Pilot Program in 2024.

This program has been established in response to the 2020 – 2030 Strategic Community Plan, Priority 4.2, ‘Enhance Streetscapes with a focus on trees’.

The Pilot Street Greening Program was launched in March 2024. Residents were invited to apply for native plants to be placed on their street verges. This initiative has now successfully concluded, with participants receiving their shrubs or trees.

The outcomes from this pilot program will be used to shape future town greening programs in the Shire of York.
