Due to congestion, and in consideration for neighbouring businesses, access to Containers for Change York will change towards the end of August 2023.
Currently, access to Containers for Change is from Maxwell Street, which has caused blockages to neighbouring businesses and customers accessing their properties. To combat the issue, access will be reversed, and vehicles will enter Forrest Street, turn at Wheeler Street, and enter from the opposite side of Maxwell Street. Signage will be in place to direct customers.
Vehicles will also no longer go through the shed, instead they will park alongside the facilities and, employees will process containers from the current entrance.
Further notification and signage will be in place to prepare customers for these changes in August.
