In June 2023, the Shire of York undertook a minor review of its Strategic Community Plan 2020-2030 and Corporate Business Plan 2020-2024, in line with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries’ Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework and Guidelines.
This review included a targeted program of community and stakeholder engagement to test the overall direction and intent ahead of a major review, which is scheduled for 2024.
Ninety-two (92) people from across the Shire shared input and feedback via focus group meetings and surveys. A Councillor workshop was also held to test strategic direction.
The draft updated Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan are now complete and ready for public consultation, ahead of finalisation.

Feedback can be submitted to the Shire, addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, and emailed to records@york.wa.gov.au (preferred), posted to PO Box 22, York WA 6302 or hand delivered to the Shire Administration Office, 1 Joaquina Street, York WA 6302. Feedback must be received by no later than 12.00pm (WST) on Tuesday 3 October 2023. Please note your submission will be presented as an Appendix to the Council Agenda for the October 2023 Ordinary Meeting.
