Funding and Sponsorship Program
Next Application Round opens 1 April 2025 and closes 30 April 2025.

The Shire of York Funding Program offers four funding streams available in the following categories:
OPEN IN APRIL AND SEPTEMBER EACH YEAR
Community Funding – Minor up to $2,000 and Major $2,001 to $10,000
Economic Development – Up to $2,000
OPEN ALL YEAR
Outstanding Representation Sponsorship (ORS) – $200 - $500
Tourism Funding – Minor up to $10,000 and Major over $10,000
Funding is intended to benefit all community groups including aged, youth, disadvantaged, early childhood and families, volunteers, sport, recreation, environment, heritage, local businesses, district economic development, infrastructure and area revitalisation.
Applications will NOT be accepted outside of the nominated timeframes. Please keep this in mind when preparing your application.

APRIL FUNDING ROUND IN-PERSON WORKSOP
If you have watched the attached video, read the guidelines and would like some further clarity about your particular project, please join us at the York CRC (89 Avon Terrace) on Tuesday 8th April at 5pm. We will walk through the attached presentation and then provide an opportunity for Q&A with the Shire’s Funding Representatives. Please register your interest by email to sam.good@york.wa.gov.au or calling the CRC on 08 9641 0541.

COMPLETING THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
You will be required to provide information about your organisation and project when completing your online application form. The type and amount of funding you are applying for will determine the level of detail required. Please refer to the Funding Guidelines or the Printable – List of Information Required in application (extract from Guidelines) PDF linked at the bottom of this page to help gather the information relevant to your application.
Started the online application but don’t have all the information you need? No problem! When you have commenced your application and provided your contact email address, you will have the option to “SAVE AS DRAFT” and the system will send you a link to the email address you entered into the form. When ready to recommence your application, simply click the link you received in your email.
NOTE: If you do not press “SAVE AS DRAFT” before closing the browser window/tab, your application will be lost and you will have to start again. If you are worried about your internet connection while completing the form, click “SAVE AS DRAFT” regularly to protect your input. You can click “SAVE AS DRAFT”, click “SEND” and then click “Return to your draft” to keep going. Once you’ve finished for the day, click “SAVE AS DRAFT” before closing out.
NOTE: When you have completed the application form, press SUBMIT. The Shire will not see your application until you have pressed submit.
Please press submit BEFORE the closing date and time.
NO LATE SUBMISSION WILL BE ACCEPTED.
